Global Scenarios: Long period of
slow growth ahead

The world economy is under severe stress at the moment from the market turmoil and lingering effects from the commodity price increases in the beginning of 2011. While we don't expect a recession the risk is currently rising as a consequence of the financial turmoil. We also expect is long term damage to the global economy and foresee low growth for a very long time in advanced economies. Decent growth in Emerging Markets, however, will help underpin global growth which we see around 4% in coming years.
