On Friday 18 March Danske Markets rang the NASDAQ Stock Market Closing Bell in New York.
Danske Markets had the honour of being invited to visit the NASDAQ Market Site in New York City’s Times Square on Saint Patrick’s Day.

Global Head of Equities, Henrik V. Mikkelsen presided over the NASDAQ Closing Bell.
In connection with Danske Markets’ closing the NASDAQ trading for the day, our corporate presentation video was also displayed to a global audience on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange – and also on Broadway via the NASDAQ Tower.
The reason for Danske being invited to ring the closing bell on NASDAQ is of course Danske Markets’ recent opening of a broker-dealer office in New York
In his speech Henrik V. Mikkelsen said:
“In Danske Markets we aspire to become the best Nordic investment bank. An important part of Danske Market’s strategy is to provide Nordic products to global clients - and global products to Nordic clients.
Establishing a New York broker dealer office is a very important step towards our vision.
For our international clients we deliver a full-service Nordic investment portfolio. With our newly established operations in New York we can now offer our US investors our variety of Nordic services. At the same time we can much better bridge Nordic clients’ need to meet US investors and markets. “
